About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Interface Architect to lead the design, development, and support of HL7, FHIR, and custom interfaces within the Oracle Health ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in ensuring secure, seamless data exchange between Oracle Health and external systems, leveraging tools like Open Engine and industry-standard integration protocols. This role is vital in enabling interoperability, enhancing system performance, and supporting better patient outcomes.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
Experience building and supporting HL7 v2.x interfaces (ADT, ORM, ORU, etc.)
Proficiency with Oracle Health’s Open Engine or similar integration engines (e.g., Mirth, Cloverleaf, Corepoint)
Familiarity with FHIR APIs and modern interoperability frameworks
Strong understanding of interface architecture within Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium)
Ability to troubleshoot interface issues and collaborate with IT and clinical teams
Solid knowledge of healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR, JSON, XML)
Nice-to-Haves:
Certification in Oracle Health or HL7 interface development
Experience with other EHRs (e.g., Epic, Meditech) and their integration tools
Understanding of data privacy regulations like HIPAA and GDPR
Knowledge of clinical coding standards (LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-10, CPT)
Basic scripting or programming skills for interface customization (e.g., CCL, Python, Java)
